Fifteen and a half more days of school….
I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.
Maybe.
Teachers are so tired by the end of the year. It’s mental tiredness that few occupations know. But although we are all tired, we keep doing what we do because it makes a difference. Teaching has many rewards. I surely felt the love during Teacher Appreciation Week.
This Week’s Favorite Five…
1// Teacher Appreciation Week- Although Teacher Appreciation Week was technically last week, I was absent last Friday and returned to school on Monday to find all sorts of goodies, sweet cards, and handwritten notes. I was gifted three Snickers Bars last week. I ate them all. Raise your hand if you cut your Snickers Bar into pieces with a knife before you eat it. Please tell me I’m not the only one!
2// Strawberries- I actually grew something! This is the year’s first produce. My blueberry bushes are full and my garden is growing. It’s possible that I’m getting better at this.
3// Summer Decor– On a whim, I dragged out my pink and green. If I can’t have a vacation home, I can at least feel as if I do. I’ll surely be sick of pink and green in a month, and I’ll change it all back to its original colorless state. Commitment issues, for sure.
4// Ipsy- I always love finding the monthly magenta foil packet in my mailbox. I’m guilty of not tracking it or opening the spoiler alert emails. I live for surprises! My favorite thing from this month’s subscription is the HD finishing powder. That’s totally the secret to good selfies! You can get your ipsy subscription here.
5// Wine Sipping- I did a little wine sipping on Thursday night. One of my favorite restaurants in downtown Goldsboro is Barrique. On Thursday nights, they have half-price appetizers in their 18th Amendment Lounge. The fries are phenomenal! I’d also recommend the fried green tomatoes on the regular menu downstairs. Yum!
Enjoy the weekend my friends! I challenge you to find the favorites in your coming week. Make happy happen!
