This week, I thought my allergies were going to nearly kill me. I spent lots of hours in a Benadryl-induced fog because I have yet to find anything all-natural that works for me. When the alarm went off this morning, I was convinced it was actually Thursday morning. Somewhere in the allergy fog, I think I lost a whole day. Despite that fog, I was able to remember five good things from this week….
I Found My 21-Day Fix Containers- A while back, I purchased the containers for Beachbody’s 21 Day Fix. When I tried using them before, I quickly gave up. I had forgotten where I had placed them, but now, they have been found. I will explain all about my 21-Day Fix experience ( and why I’m giving it a second chance) in a future blog post.
I Finally Tried Turkey Bacon– My Fitness Pal app always tells me that I eat too much fat. I know that turkey bacon is a better choice than the full-throttle real stuff. But, every time I place a package of turkey bacon into my cart at the grocery store, it finds it’s way back to the shelf… mostly because of the unusual pink color. I am a baconator and I want my bacon to look like bacon! Just yesterday, I found the courage to actually buy the odd-colored turkey bacon. I cooked it in the microwave (because I like it flat and very well done….er…burnt) and it was very tasty! If I can like it, anyone can like it.
My Ipsy Box and My Popsugar Box Came! Both treats were delivered in the same week! Yay! If you follow my Instagram, you’ve seen my Ipsy contents. My Popsugar Box was a hit as well! In fact, this may be one of the best boxes ever! I couldn’t wait to try the Too Faced brow kit, so I did my eyebrows before I went to bed. True story. I adore the gold earrings in the time capsule container, too!
I Survived a Whole Week of Kinder-Cutting- You haven’t experienced life unless you’ve tried to teach 20 kindergartners to use scissors, all at the same time. I simply don’t have enough eyes or hands to watch and help every single kid at the same time. So far, no one has cut their hair or clothes. No one has cut my hair or clothes. No one has stabbed themselves or their neighbor. No one has stabbed me. Because I survived this, I earned a glass of wine.
Listening to the Kid’s Funnies- The kids make me laugh, every single day. Most elementary teachers could write books about the things they hear from the mouths of children. When I was so sneezy and stuffy this week, one of my kids gave me a hug and told me not to worry. He said that his nose was “all clonked up”, too.
Have a great weekend, be safe, and don’t forget the small things!
